Interim coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia has urged Nigerians not to be scared of Egypt when they come visiting later this month in 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier. Nigeria will play the Pharaohs of Egypt at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Friday, March 25 with the return leg to be played in Alexandria on Tuesday, March 29.
Speaking of preparation ahead of the game, Siasia revealed that the home based players have arrived camp and urged Nigerians not to be scared of the Pharaohs.“I have seen reports that Nigerians are scared of Egypt, but Nigerians can’t be scared of Egypt. We are playing them at home first, we can’t be scared,” Siasia told the official website of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The former midfielder revealed that he has started watching tapes of the Egyptians to know their strengths and weaknesses.
Siasia has inspected the Ahmadu Bello Stadium and revealed that the ground is good enough to host the crucial clash.From what I saw, the ground have improved and it is okay for us to play there,” the coach said.
