The Notorious BIG 19th Anniversary Tribute Celebration at Milk River [Video]

On March 9, 1997, the music world was rocked by the untimely and unfortunate death of Hip Hop icon, The Notorious BIG. Each year celebrities, fans, family and friends pay tribute to the life, music and legacy of the rapper, the man, Christopher Wallace in their own way.
This year, marked the 19th Anniversary of BIG’s passing and there was no other place to be on March 9th except Milk River Restaurant and Lounge in Brooklyn. Powered by Carnegie PR, rapper Lil Cease, VH1 Star Stevie J and BIG’s daughter T'yanna Wallace hosted The Notorious BIG Interactive Happy Hour & Tribute Celebration.

Much more than your average tribute, the evening brought out hundreds of fans, close friends and industry insiders including VH1 star Yandy Smith-Harris, rapper MASE, Hot 97.1’s own DJ Enuff, Love & Hip Hop NY BBOD, Bobby Trends, Fred The Godson, ROC Nation’s Emory Jones, Smif N Wessun, Spliff Star, actress/singer Emerald Young, producer Ty Fyffe and more.

The evening embodied the essence of the Notorious BIG as guests enjoyed an exclusive Notoriouss Clothing pop up shop, Biggie artwork by This Respek Art, an exclusive and delectable Biggie inspired menu and the highlight of the night, Biggie Karaoke.

During Biggie Karaoke, Lil Cease and Stevie J took the stage as audience members were selected for the challenge. DJ Enuff selected Biggie tracks and contestants had to recite as much of the lyrics as possible. The music, great energy and all around love that filled the room was so overwhelming that guests decided to put up money for the winner. Yandy, BBOD, Stevie J and DJ Enuff all joined the wager! The entire crowd sang along as the contestant recited the lyrics, winning the challenge and $600.00 cash. The runner up received $200.00 and a Notoriouss Clothing gift bag.

What a celebration and a night to remember! We know that BIG Poppa was smiling down on us, happy with all the love that was shown in his memory! We did it for Biggie! Baby
