The man who is from Kiganjo village in Thika, and his wife, Margaret Achieng, were rushed to the Thika Level Five Hospital after he committed the acts on Saturday, February 13, a day before the Valentine's Day, when he suspected that his wife and brother were planning to spend the Val Day together.

Achieng who swore she had nothing to do with her husband's brother, told journalists that she realised her husband had chopped off his manhood after a neighbour had summoned the police.

The husband and wife were then taken to the hospital where Achieng was stitched while the husband underwent a successful reconstruction surgery.
Doctors at the hospital told journalists that the woman is in a stable condition but her husband’s condition will be reviewed after the surgery.
