Taraba United FC on the verge of ban over unpaid salaries

Recently relegated Taraba United are in the verge of being ban from football over unpaid salaries of their players. The players have been protesting since Monday, December 7 and sleeping at the gate of the Taraba State house for four days, for their unpaid 11 months salaries.
Pulse Sports have learnt that Taraba State may be barred from operating any professional club by the Nigeria Football Federation due to ill-treatment of FC Taraba players.A source from the Glass told Pulse Sports that FC Taraba also face expulsion from all levels of league football if situation with players is not resolved.

Taraba state has a running budget that caters for civil servants which should have included the FC Taraba players.The players who spoke to Complete Sports report vow to relent in their effort to get their salaries from the State Government.
 “At the moment we are not ready to listen to anybody aside from the governor as all the promises made to us in the past were not fulfilled,” one of the players said.“Imagine us going close to a year without getting our salaries when some of us have families at home to cater for.
 “Until they pay us we will not leave the government house.”
League Management Company Chairman Shehu Dikko has revealed that they are in contact with the Taraba government to get the salaries of the players sorted.
Taraba United were relegated at the end of the 2014/2015 season and will compete in National League next term.
