Husband beats pregnant wife to death for calling him irresponsible in Lagos state Nigeria

A middle aged man who could not control his anger is now in serious trouble for beating his pregnant wife to death because she called him an irresponsible man, reports Daily Post.
The man whose name is given simply as Bright, was not bright enough to allow his anger boil over during a minor disagreement with his wife and he reportedly pummeled her to death and was arrested by officers attached to the Ejigbo Police Division of the Lagos State Police Command.
The incidence happened at the couple's residence on Olusesi Street, in the Ejigbo area of the state and according to neighbours, they were known to quarrel constantly with the husband turning his wife into a punching bag but no one had any inclination that it could lead to her death.The incidence that led to the woman's death, according to a neighbour, arose when she asked her husband for money to buy food items for the family but he told her he had no money and in the heated exchanges that ensued between them, the deceased called him an irresponsible man and in his anger, Bright descended on her with countless punches till she collapsed and died on the spot.After killing his wife, Bright reportedly carried her corpse into the booth of his car and was about driving away when a neighbour noticed him and raised an alarm which attracted other residents of the area.

The prompt intervention of security operatives in the area saved him from being lynched by some angry youths who were bent on setting him on fire. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the police station.
