Pillars almost doubled their lead in the 36th minute but Ifeanyi Matthew was denied his goal as goal keeper Theophilus Afelokhai saved his effort from point blank range.
Afelokhai also denied Ali the opportunity to score a brace a few minutes before the end of the first half.
This missed chances came back to haunt Kano Pillars as Enyimba drew level through Anazembe six minutes into the second half. Thankgod Ike then scored the winner in the 82nd minute.
Sai Masu Gida applied pressure in the final minutes of the game through Azeez Sobowale and Adamu Mohammed but were denied by Enyimba’s substitute goal keeper Femi Thomas.
