Billboard has revealed their annual list of Top Money Makers in the music industry, and the North Carolina rapper J. Cole has been named as the highest-earning Hip Hop artist on the list.The Roc Nation emcee is at #27 with a total of $8.8 million. According to the publication, Cole earned $1.5 million from music sales, $788,000 from streaming, $1.1 million from publishing, and $5.5 million from touring. The other rappers who make the top 40 are Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Drizzy (#32) made $7.4 million in 2015 most of which came from sales which totaled $4.4 million. Nicki (#39) has collected $6.3 million last year, she made $3.5 million from her performances.
Taylor Swift leads the list with $73.5 million. The Pop singer is followed by Kenny Chesney (#2) with $39.8 million, The Rolling Stones (#3) with $39.6 million, Billy Joel (#4) $31.7 million, and One Direction (#5) with $24.2 million.
