Super Eagles drop 5 places to 67 in new FIFA ranking

After losing the race to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles have dropped five places in the recent World Ranking released on Thursday, April 7.
The Super Eagles were beaten by Egypt 1-0 on Tuesday, March 29 in a 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

With the loss and Chad withdrawal from the qualifiers, the Super Eagles have been eliminated from the race to reach 2017.The Super Eagles of Nigeria have now dropped from 63rd in the previous ranking to 67th in the current one.
They also dropped in the African ranking from 11th to 14th.
Algeria who are 33rd in the world are first in Africa while Cote d'Ivoire are second in 34.
Ghana (38), Senegal (43), Egypt (44), Cape Verde (47), Tunisia (47), Congo Dr (51), Guinea (58), Congo (59), Cameroon (63), Morocco (64), Mali (65) are all above Nigeria.
