Mob set robbery suspect on fire in Lagos state of Nigeria

An armed robbery suspect has been burnt to death in Lagos by an angry mob after he fell off a motorcycle while running away from a crime scene. The incident happened on Monday, April 11, 2016, in the Abule Ado, Satellite Town of the state.
It was reported that the suspect had already been in the leg by the police.According to Punch, the suspect is a member three-man gang that had broken into a store and carted away phones.
A female motorist identified as Okere who witnessed the public lynching narrated her account on Twitter.

She wrote, “My welcome to Lagos on Monday was to see people burning a thief on the Mile 2 road. It was bad. They could have just taken him to a police station.”Jungle justice is now often the fate of suspected criminals who fall into the hands of the public, especially street thugs.
The mob have been observed to prefer instant killing than handing the suspected criminals over to the police.
