Former President Goodluck Jonathan, at his world press conference which held in Geneva, Switzerland, on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 spoke on a number of issues, including the alleged $2.1b arms purchase scam.
The event was part of activities organized by the Circle of Diplomats (Circle Diplomatique), Geneva to honour Jonathan.
GEJ, as he is fondly called, said he chose to keep quiet on the issue, because the case was before the courts.
In a series of Tweets obtained from his Twitter timeline, the former President hinted that his government actually bought weapons.

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Alhaji Abdulahi Jalo earlier asked the former President to come and tell Nigerians all he knows about the $2.1b arms purchase scandal.
Dr Tony Aziegbemi recently, in an interview, explained why Goodluck Jonathan channelled his 2015 campaign funds through former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
Geneva Diplomatic Circle is an international association that strives to reinforce ties between different countries, promote cultural exchange, and facilitate encounters between diplomats and members of civil society.
